I love this as a minigame! It doesn’t really fit the tone of my current campaign (a high-powered Dungeon Crawler Carl inspired sci-fantasy thing), but I could see myself using it in other, more grounded campaigns.
For this current campaign, my players will sometimes get sucked away from the main Crawl for interviews or etc (like in Dungeon Crawler Carl), so I’m thinking I may have my players whisked away (pun intended) to a competition cooking show in which the player who makes the worst soup is killed or cursed and use a version these rules for that.
