Did you ever have one of those days where you get interrupted in the midst of work on one project by a bright, bold vision of an entirely new project?
I’ve been reviewing the early development of systems arising from the wargaming world and have Fantastic Medieval Campaigns as a better-organized reference for OD&D. I was looking something up and suddenly had a vision of that sort of organization of material and depth of treatment involving a very pulpy system – moreso than D&D. It was annoying to the point that I created new files for it and typed out outlines to get it out of my head.
I think it’s nice to have multiple projects on the burner. It’s very pleasing when you finish one and get to pick up another. You fall back in love with it. Or you look at it and realize it’s a piece of crap.
Yes. I completely forgot about projects when I was in the depths of depression. Once treatment began and I started finding all of the notebooks,I was impressed by my work. I even found multiple versions of stuff, each with a different slant as I’d obviously focused on slightly different times with each rendition. Sadly, none of those involved the projects that I’m working on now.
