Support needed for NSR conversion

Howdy, last year I published 3 adventures based on my set of rules.

Now I’d like to have them converted into B/X standards. I think I know how to handle this job however being the first time I’d like to have a conversation with someone skilled in NSR system to be sure of the job.
I will carry out any activity however I need someone willing to read and provide me with feedback.
The modules are short adventures, approx 30 pages A5 size.
Thanks in advance and ciaooo

Are these adventures that you charge money for?

The adventures available now for sale have 1 dollar of mark-up which grants me approx 60 cents of revenue per copy sold… I have not considered if and how to sell the conversions… is that relevant based my pricing policy?

I just mean if you’re looking for people to do work for a product you’re selling or intending to sell, it is usually best form to advertise that.

Hello Justin, I understand your point, however I have been misunderstood. I am not looking for someone who does the work, I am looking for someone who is pointing me out what an OSR/NSR conversion requires… I am going to bear any further effort, that’s all!
In any case you’re right to outline a detail I missed in my first message: the rewards for anyone who is willing to help me! Given that my project is a zero-budget project (i.e. the few bucks I get are not flowing in my pockets but are spent for the ongoing activities related to self-publishing), I can offer the proper credits in the work, a comp copy (both digital and pod) and all my gratitude! I know it is not that much but this is what I can afford… I hope now it is more clear! Thanks

Bump!

No one has some time to share with me about a conversion?

I am not really a --mechanics-- guy, and don’t have a ton of time. if you are having trouble getting one person to do it, maybe just start a thread and we can kinda do it piecemeal as a group? (it might be more trouble than its worth… but… maybe worth a shot?)

Yeah I agree with @eeldip, to me it’s a little intimidating to reach out and potentially get committed to helping a conversion of an unknown quantity (not saying that you would expect a commitment, but you know engaging in a social interaction can kind of make one feel committed).

I think trying to crowd source it is a fantastic idea.

I also say this because I’m not a good help on “converting” games as my personal philosophy is to use material from any source and just hand wave the differences.

Ok!

So let’s start a conversation here, that is not a problem for me. I am a bit displaced by the fact that I am constantly misunderstood: I have never asked for a real support, a job… I asked for an advice.

Anyway, first question: I am aware I need to make a conversion of all NPCs stats. That is fine, I will use the B/X system which is a kind of esperanto. What are the other items to be converted?

Have you read many B/X modules?

Well, let’s say read, played, translated… from the 80s till some years ago.

And what are the differences in the way you have written your modules, and some of the core B/X adventure, in terms of mechanism and numbers and such?

It’s hard to have an understanding of what needs “conversion” without understanding the source.

Hello Justin, I honestly have troubles in following you.

Have you ever written a module? Or at least converted one?

Let’s not ask for purity tests here, please.

Yes I have. I’m saying you’re giving nothing to convert from.

I’m leaving this discussion, but my recommendation in the future is to clearly outline what you need and ask specifics. Saying you need advice for converting a nebulous module in a nebulous system with no details is completely unactionable.

Hello Justin, our conversation was based on a misunderstanding: my request here aimed to find someone available to start a conversation outside of here. I am not interested in having it here on these boards.
It is clear then the nebulosity as it wasn’t my intention to waste the readers’ time here.
Hope it helps, ciaoo

Sorry i don’t understand: i don’t know what you mean by purity test. I simply asked for someone available for advice.
