I will be going there and running a very-typical-of-me session of OD&D early medieval folk horror stuff. Anyone else planning on attending, or thinking about it?

I’m going and am incredibly excited about being able to attend. It’ll only be my third convention and by far the furthest I’ve traveled to. I hope to say hi to you all and put some faces to usernames.

Its not that long so the beginner trap of overloading your schedule won’t have such a downside as it does if you’re at GenCon or whatever and burn yourself out halfway through.
I think it’s going to be difficult to choose what events to attend!
Also running something: a “furniture crawl”, which is going to be just… a desk. Riffing off of a thought experiment of: “What if The Chair was literally, just a chair?”. So I picked a desk to switch it up. Adding the constraint of “no shrinking allowed”. Like, its just going to be opening drawers, riffling through papers and inkwells, looking into pigeon holes. Running it with Into the Odd cause it feels right. 19th century furniture movers who are not sure why it takes 6 people to move a single desk, but … pay is good.

When I was a player in Gus L’s playtest there was a lot of navigating deadly furniture. While the desks themselves were sometimes too large to carry out with our party’s size and means, at least one session was planning routes for carrying away heavy mahogany office chairs in such a way that owlbears and carrion crawlers wouldn’t ruin them (or get us killed). In the final session before our hiatus one of the longest standing PCs was killed by a poisonous dart in a desk.
An Into the Odd Furniture crawl sounds fun.
